Hey Scott, you should bring up Global Warming /Weather Changes and productivity in your future predictions. The only reason I bring this up is when the hot weather here in Asia comes it kills my energy and keeps my indoors more than in the past. It's parly my age but it seems there really is something to this. THe extreme weather also brings up hot season storms that just explode with wild winds and torment. This can happen anywhere and it also closes roads and kills power etc. Anyways, it's starting now. Something for your future predictions.

Wow.... I am blown away by this presentation. I was an insecure 59 year old, in January 2018 when I started buying Bitcoin/crypto. Everyone though I was irrational. Most still do. I put my income and savings and watched the value drop each month but for some reason really believed in Bitcoin and alt coins/blockchain even though I don't totally understand. Finally, the crypto market started turning around and I am astonished at the value of my crypto currency portfolio today. I engaged in active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 24Bitcoin....At the heart of this evolution is Francine Duguay, whose deep understanding of both cryptocurrency and traditional trading has been instrumental. Her holistic approach to investment and commitment to staying abreast of market trends make her an invaluable ally in navigating this new era in cryptocurrency investment.

One of the less interesting pods yet. It just seems like the same people appear across all these pods. Value is going down to zero in the podcast market. Ray has a point on debt and long arcs of history, but I have yet to hear any valuable predictions from him. Geopolitical events have overtaken the narrative and it no longer looks like there is a changing world order in the way he alluded to.

Regarding Nvidia employee stocks. I lived through the tech bubble and was directly involved in it. I vividly recall the meteoric rise in Stocks like Lucent, ADC , Northern telecom and juniper networks. Scott was Right on in his recommendation to sell and diversify. I was lucky… thousands of others saw their stockholdings vaporize in a very short period of time.

Weirdest ever interview with Dalio I have ever listened to. He keeps rambling and jumps all over the place. Is he suffering from dementia? He was asked a very simple question about financial and investment advice to a 25 year old educated and all he could offer is "there are taxes, then understand diversification, and put some money into savings for future large ticket item expenses and put some money into speculative assets, and then there are taxes". WHAT? nobody expects any specific names as investment but what he said every child already knows. Then his doom and gloom was disproven many times over the past 15 years. And he seems to completely live in his elitist bubble, not understanding the lack of any credible opportunities even for the highly educated young adults in technology. The world in the West is dominated by 4 or 5 mega conglomerates in every sector and industry. Any opportunities elsewhere is arbitraged away, stolen, or prevented by various players. What can someone invest in today? Most promising startups are only open to vulture VC. When a company goes public it's basically asking the dummies in society to be the bag holders for those who are ready to cash in. Not talking about the past but today. There are incredibly few opportunities for young adults today, less than ever before in the past 20 years. And I say that as a Carnegie Mellon educated with 2 master's degrees, 23 years as front desk bank and hedge fund trader who is now retired. I have empathy for those who are young adults now, despite a lot of things being better than ever before thanks to innovation the picture today into the future for young adults looks incredibly bleak imo, worse than ever before in the past 3 decades. For such an experienced and successful asset manager his advice was incredibly disappointing and lacked any rigor and was a poor reflection of his wisdom.

19:00 - Given project revenue and free cash flow beyond early 2025 , Nvidia share price will go back down close to the $2 trillion. Maybe not next quarterly result, maybe not the next after that, but it will. The growth (still big) is projected to slow down after that. I guess the big players will have a bunch of operating AI datacenters and will still need more but not at the same pace. Also, AMD and Intel might finally be somewhat competitive, at least for some of the AI tasks (inferring mostly, not training the models). Projections can be wrong , but no hardware company can justify the current multiples Nvidia currently has.

14:15 - I'm not an Apple Fanboy. I don't want to be part of their ecosystem. I cannot stand the OSX UI. But from an business point of view I think Apple is onto something with the headset, just like META. Build the infrastructure for these to communicate across the world various experiences and collaborate: architects, mechanics, military, People criticised Starlink satellite costs and could not fathom who Starlink would ever become profitable. It's like they don't know technological trends : smaller + more powerful for cheaper , year after year. It seems the Big Dawg is doing the same right now. So Starlink 2 satelittes are now bigger, pack even more power and service more terminals and are not that much more expensive to launch and will be even less so with Starship. The VR/AR headset and eventually VR/AR glasses will become a thing , in certain businesses and some more personal experiences, and they will be cheaper year after year. Remember Apple TV boxes? For years Apple toyed with that and boom it helped birth the Apple TV app ! Remember the Apple Watch v1 v2 or v3? Were they that great compared to today? VR/AR headset v2 or v3 will be improvements but will still be somewhat meh ... but the app infrastructure and ecosystem is being built by Apple, META, and others.
